Mid-Century Update

Commission

The owners of this home sought several necessary elements: a more welcoming entry, an interior with more flexible uses, better natural light, and sound deadening properties to the main living spaces.

The resultant design added space to the Living Room with a fireplace and vaulted ceiling. An acoustic treatment covers the Living Room ceiling to help deaden sound. A new office space was added, with custom cabinets and sliding, glass doors as a means of creating sound privacy while maintaining a view to the hills.

The Primary suite was re-organized. A new walk-in closet occupies the location of the old bath. A new Primary Bath addition includes a marble stone wall highlighting a deep tub with views to the northern hills. A curbless shower and custom, double-sink vanity complete the space.

Additional elements include: flush base boards, new flooring, new Laundry and Powder Room, remodeled Guest Bath and updated guest bedrooms.
