About Us

Hubbell Daily Architecture + Design is a Marin based architecture firm lead by the husband and wife team of Brad Hubbell and Suzanne Daily.

Hubbell Daily Architecture + Design was incorporated in 2003. Since 2016, Brad and Suzanne have been working exclusively at HDA, having followed their entrepreneurial instincts to own and manage their own firm. They have enjoyed taking on residential projects ranging in size from moderate and whole-house remodels to new homes. HDA has a growing body of projects throughout the Bay Area.

At HDA our philosophy is creativity, communication and collaboration. To every project we bring innovation, structure and process, making sure that client education and communication are at the center of each project. A collaborative process with clients, consultants, builders and fabricators creates an energized and impassioned exploration of options, enabling a clear understanding of appropriate solutions. Being transparent and working collaboratively results in uniquely designed projects that run smoothly and get built on budget and on time.

HDA projects come in a variety of styles reflecting our clients’ desires and the characteristics of each site. Working in a variety of styles keeps HDA’s work fresh and interesting. In addition, environmentally responsible materials and design elements play key roles in the decision making process throughout the project’s life.

From an early age, Brad had his sights on becoming an Architect. After receiving his undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Tulane University, he worked for Sausalito architects Barbara Brown and Henry Taylor. He then attended University of Washington where he received his Master in Architecture degree. Brad returned to California to begin his career with the firm of Michael Rex Architects where he learned the value of detailing, design and materials. While at Polsky Perlstein Architects, Brad honed his project management skills and developed his designing and technical skills. In his 35+ years of architectural design, Brad has worked on projects from San Francisco Victorians to contemporary modern homes and is drawn to projects that demand creative solutions to meeting clients’ style. He enjoys a collaborative approach to projects, working closely with other trades and the clients to achieve creative and unique solutions to every project.

Suzanne also followed her passion for design and architecture from an early age, studying architectural drafting and the arts throughout Jr. high and high school. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. A native Californian, Suzanne stayed local and appreciates the variety of California architecture and the beauty of our natural landscapes. She endeavors to find innovative ways to connect the built environment to nature both physically and visually. Her experience includes working for firms such as Geoffrey E. Butler Architecture and Planning, Thompson Studio Architects, Turnbull Griffin Haesloop Architects, Backen Gillam, and Michael Rex Architects. She enjoys projects that present a difficult problem and coming up with a solution that far surpasses the client’s expectations.

A northern Italian native, Alessandro grew up inspired on a daily basis by the historic and classical architecture around him. He took great pleasure witnessing the modern architectural renovations of his ever evolving society as they balanced paying respect to the classics while creating something synonymous to the future. His natural creative spirit is expressed through works of oil on canvas, photography, and pencil on paper. His attention to detail and unwavering dedication to the necessary methods to execute a flawless project are talents that he dedicates to each project he embarks upon. His expertise working with international artisans and sourcing rare materials has allowed him to build an enviable professional network. Alessandro has more than twenty years of experience working on commercial and residential projects not only in Italy and the USA but all over the world.

Liz joined Hubbell Daily in 2026. She is originally from Palo Alto, California and graduated with a Bachelor’s in Design from UC Davis. After earning her Master’s in Architecture from the University of Colorado, Denver she practiced custom and multi-family residential design in Aspen and Denver as a registered Architect, licensed in Colorado.

Liz appreciates high-quality design and particularly well-sited architecture that takes advantage of sight lines, landscape features, and lighting opportunities. She is excited to work with clients on projects of multiple scales, local to Marin County and beyond the North Bay, who bring to the table any number of perspectives and specific wish lists. She finds a successful project to be one in which the clients’ needs and desires are brought to fruition through a collaborative process that includes the entire project team.

Liz enjoys going wine tasting with her husband, visiting the playground with their toddler, and re-exploring the Bay Area after 15 years away.

As a Bay Area native, Amy has lived in every inch of the Bay Area and now calls Marin home, where she lives with her family.

She studied interior design and photography at California College of the Arts, graduating with a BFA in Photography. After graduating, Amy began her photography career in wedding photography before transitioning into brand photography, supporting business owners so they can thrive in their marketing efforts.

Amy takes pride in organization, workflows, and finding ways to support businesses so that they
can focus on what matters most: their clients.

You can find Amy exploring the trails of Marin with her family or hitting the road for a local getaway. She is always on the hunt for a great swimming hole and occasionally enjoys spending
an afternoon on the golf course.
